We always had a good time, so now, a few years later (damn, I hate getting old), we'd like to start playing again. However, my friend, being in graphic design and animation, is a Mac user. That's fine, whatever works, but we're looking for a game that we can each play. We both put our hands on a copy of Age of Empires III, and got set-up to play online, only to find that it didn't support cross-platform play.

I have not consistently played the game, coming back every couple months, getting hooked and playing for several weeks before becoming busy with other things.
